The morning sun, still a timid blush on the eastern horizon, kissed the chrome of "The Carolina Blue," a Peterbilt 379 tow truck that stood like a silent titan at Large Cars and Guitars at Bristol Motor Speedway, Bristol, TN . Based out of Charlotte, NC, Chavez Diesel Services was a name synonymous with reliability, and a big part of that reputation rode on the broad shoulders of this particular blue beast.

Owned and operated by Miguel Chavez, a man whose hands bore the permanent grease stains of a life spent with engines, the 379 wasn't just a truck; it was an extension of his will. Its vibrant blue paint, meticulously maintained, gleamed even through the grime of a long night. The polished aluminum wheels, the imposing grille, and the array of amber marker lights gave it an almost regal presence, a true iron horse built for the long haul and the toughest recoveries.

"Prayerbilt" 2004 Peterbilt 379

In Maynardville, Tennessee, Wes and Cindy Ward are the proud owners of a 2004 Peterbilt 379, affectionately known as "Prayerbilt." This distinctive truck boasts an extended hood, and according to Wes, "We named it 'Prayerbilt' because, really, everyone's life is built on prayer." Under its hood is a 1999 Caterpillar 3406E engine, paired with a recently upgraded 13-speed transmission. The couple uses it to haul a 2014 Mac 48-foot, 102-inch-wide flatbed trailer.
